1 Computer and Information Science Department, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH 43210; email: [email protected] Abstract Recent revisions in the Computer Science Accreditation Commission's criteria for accreditation of Computer Science programs have introduced specific requirements for programs to have precisely defined objectives and outcomes, as well as suitable assessment mechanisms to assess how well the outcomes are being achieved and the objectives met. The program is also required to have suitable feedback mechanisms to ensure that the results of the assessment mechanisms are utilized to improve the program. Finally, the program is required to document how the curriculum is related to its objectives and outcomes. Formulating precise objectives and outcomes, implementing suitable assessment instruments to evaluate the achievement of objectives and outcomes, and setting up feedback mechanisms to use the assessment results, are all challenging tasks for most computer science faculty. This paper presents the experiences of one program in doing this, and some of the lessons learned.

Faculty citation measures are highly correlated with peer assessment of computer science doctoral programs
We study relationship between peer assessment of quality of U.S. Computer Science (CS) doctoral programs and objective measures of research strength of those programs. In Fall 2016 we collected Google Scholar citation data for 4,352 tenure-track CS faculty from 173 U.S. universities. The citations are measured by the t10 index, which represents the number of citations received by the 10th highe...

متن کاملAcute mechanical circulatory support for cardiogenic shock: the “door to support” time
Cardiogenic shock (CS) remains a major cause of in-hospital mortality in the setting of acute myocardial infarction. CS begins as a hemodynamic problem with impaired cardiac output leading to reduced systemic perfusion, increased residual volume within the left and right ventricles, and increased cardiac filling pressures. A critical step towards the development of future algorithms is a clear ...
